Door access control is no longer just a lock and a card. For modern apartments, offices, and villas, an IP-based access system brings visitor verification, remote unlocking, and central management into one ecosystem. Fanvil builds this range on open SIP, so it pairs with existing IP phones and PBX without locking you into a single vendor.
Four scenarios, one architecture logic
Fanvil groups access needs into four common scenarios, and they all use the same architecture pattern: a door phone at the door, an indoor station or app on the resident side, and the cloud for management.
- Apartments and condominiums: many doors and residents, needing central permission management and 24/7 communication with a guard station.
- Old building renovations: limited cabling, solved with the 2-Wire door phone (i62-2). See the Fanvil 2-Wire solution.
- Commercial buildings and offices: simple professional access for offices, clinics, retail, and warehouses.
- Villas and premium homes: gate security, remote unlocking, and room-to-room communication inside the home.
Choosing a door phone by tier
- i60 / i60K: a basic door phone, plastic housing, IP65, for small projects or secondary doors.
- i64: a standard door phone, metal housing, IP66/IK07, for the main entrance.
- i67 / i68: premium with face recognition and a 7-inch touchscreen, for communities or buildings that want touchless access.
- i602V (card) / i602K (keypad): compact access devices for interior doors, server rooms, warehouses, or side doors, extending access points without the cost of a full door phone.
Indoor stations and the resident app
On the inside, residents can use an i564W (7-inch) or i566W (10-inch) indoor station to see and talk to a visitor, or simply use the Fanvil Link app on their phone to take door calls and unlock from anywhere. For apartments, an A308 or A320 guard station at the security post can monitor every door.
Cloud, apps, and data security
Management runs through the FCMS cloud: a property admin can manage resident data, grant or revoke permissions, and monitor device status from one dashboard, including across buildings. The Fanvil Partner app helps installers set up and diagnose devices from a phone, while Fanvil Link serves residents. The platform is ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701 certified, which matters for cloud projects that store resident access data.
Why face recognition keeps gaining ground
Touchless access speeds up foot traffic at the entrance and reduces reliance on cards that can be lost or shared. For premium communities or offices, the i67/i68 with face recognition gives a smooth entry experience along with clean access logs, without a guard having to open the door manually every time.
