A room phone might sound trivial in the smartphone era, but in a hotel it is still an important point of contact: calling the front desk, ordering room service, or reaching emergency staff. Fanvil H-series hotel IP phones are designed specifically for hospitality, not just an office phone dropped into a room.
Why hotel phones are different
- Antibacterial material: the handset and body use a more hygienic material, important for a device handled by a different guest every day.
- Customizable faceplate: the service label on the phone body can be printed to match the hotel's brand and language.
- Service speed-dial keys: one-touch buttons straight to the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, or an emergency number, so guests never have to remember an extension.
Getting to know the H-series
The H-series has several models for different room tiers, from a basic phone to ones with a color screen and Wi-Fi:
- H1 / H2U: compact phones with speed-dial keys and wall-mount support, for standard rooms.
- H3W / H5W: a 3.5-inch color screen, speed-dial keys, and a USB port to charge a guest's phone. The H5W supports Wi-Fi and video linkage.
- H6W / H4W: dual-band Wi-Fi 6, a custom faceplate, and speed-dial keys, for upscale rooms.
- H601 / H602 / H603W: a hotel line with HD audio, a magnetic handset, and a USB charging port, some with Wi-Fi 6.
Integrating with hotel systems
Because they are SIP-based, H-series phones connect to the hotel's IP PBX and can integrate with a property management system (PMS) for functions like check-in/check-out, room status, and call billing. Auto provisioning makes mass configuration easy when installing dozens or hundreds of rooms at once.
Renovating without rewiring
For an older hotel that wants to upgrade from analog to IP phones, the existing telephone cabling can be reused through the 2-Wire solution, so there is no need to run new network cable to every room. Learn more in the Fanvil 2-Wire solution.
