Why outdoor intercoms are different
Unlike indoor units, outdoor devices need a high durability rating. The Fanvil A11 and A12 series are rated IP66 (dust-tight and resistant to strong water jets) and IK10 (resistant to heavy impact), with a wide working temperature from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. A stainless-steel panel and a tamper alarm make them a fit for unsupervised areas.

- A11V / A12V (video): add an HD camera (the A11V with a 2K starlight camera) so an operator can see who pressed the button before responding or granting access.
Wired to cameras, alarms, and door releases
What makes a SIP intercom stand out is its integration. Through short-circuit inputs and outputs, the A12V can connect to an alarm light, a sensor, or an IP camera: pressing the button can trigger an alarm, play a warning message, or start a call that automatically pulls up the camera view. It all runs on the same IP network as other Fanvil phones and consoles.
